Sometimes, even when you've hit your "pleasure budget" for the month of July and you've told yourself you cant buy any clothes until August, sometimes you see a new skirt at work (one with mixed prints including a freaking fairy-tale castle on a cloud) that you know will disappear if you don't snatch it up.
And sometimes, on that very same day, you also notice that there's only one of your size left in that really cool chambray shirt with the slit in the back (the one that disappeared immediately the last time a size run came in, which was months ago; the one you've been hoping and praying would show up again, maybe as a return, so you could make it yours).
And so, sometimes you buy both of those things and then you wear them together the very next because you are really psyched about them. Not that this have ever happened to me.
P.S. I'm calling this my "Briar Rose" skirt because it has roses as well as a castle that looks like Sleeping Beauty's.
P.P.S. I know her name is Aurora in the Disney movie, but in the translation I read growing up, her name was Briar Rose.
