Since I planned on meeting my Chicago bestie for dinner and wine last night, I decided to start the week with a somewhat less blah outfit than a Monday might normally warrant. Also, weekends aren't necessarily relaxing when you work in retail. I always think of Maggie Smith in Downton Abbey saying, "What is a weekend?" Classic!
When I first saw this dress come into the store, I fell in love of course. I mean, it's gorgeous. But, I didn't try it on for a few weeks because I assumed it would look like a maternity dress on me, given the size of my chest. But then a few co-workers assured me that another co-worker with an ample bosom had bought it and looked great in it. So, I gave it a go, and I actually think it works since it's not that incredibly blousy. I kind of feel the same way about this dress from the H&M Garden Collection that I wear all the time. It may not be the most flattering silhouette on my body, but it's not bad either, and it's a silhouette I love to wear.
