Inspired by the book Amor Y Tacos, I made some west-coast Mexican tacos and sangria for my parents and Ryan, and we all ate out by the pool.

Wedding part two
As many of your know, my brother got married in a small outdoor ceremony a few weeks ago. Last night was the reception with around a hundred friends and family members.
Here's what I wore...
Shoes - Target
Clutch - vintage
Claw bracelet - Asos
Watch - Citizen
Earring - Mum's
Corsage - Kroger Florist
My mom made her dress (with a little bit of help from me). The pattern is Butterick 6533 and it's an amazing shape. The color she picked is pretty amazing too.
Also in town from Austin are my aunt Lisa, uncle Ken, and their kids Zoe and Phil. They are the extended family I'm closest too, so I'm so glad they could come.
The reception was great: the food, the bar, the photo... and, of course, Ben and Jenn, who looked amazing. I liked Jenn's dress even better than the one she wore for the wedding, and I just adored her little net veil.
All in all we had a blast. I got through me speed with only one ambulance siren interruption, and the whole night was joyous and full of celebration!

Fictional Fashion Icon: Hannah/Belle from Secret Diary of a Call Girl
Hannah (alter ego: Belle), the main character of Secret Diary of a Call Girl (which is perhaps my favorite show), lives life according to her own rules and she dresses that way too. With a flair for color as well as structure, she isn't afraid to wear radical and risky outfits. She's the British version of Carrie Bradshaw (and she has more sex).
Hannah is always fashion forward, but when she goes out on a job as Belle she also has a kind of classic bombshell sensuality and sultry beauty.
I also love that she is never afraid to play dress up and has fun with costumes and wigs when the opportunity presents itself.

Story of a clothing swap
Saturday was great. I went to the park with Ryan and then wondered around Findlay Market for a while trying out my lovely new camera (Canon Rebel T3).

After that I went to a clothing swap. It was super fun and there were lots of cool clothes.
Here's what I brought to swap...
I invited my friends Cece and Kelly (who you can see being goofy in the following pictures). I also saw my friend Megan there and she, Cece, and I went out for food and drink after (as well as discussion of OCD and the worst weddings ever attended). All in all, it was a wonderful night

Cute, cotton sundress (Maxi dresses are really growing on me lately, and I love thin, woven, cotton in the summer.):
Cotton minidress (Kelly has one like it in another color):
Emerald jersey t-shirt dress (shown with a thrifted belt I already had):

All right, that's all for now. I'm off to swim a few laps and sit by the pool with Marie Claire.
